THE
SUPPORT WE OFFER
Typical
service provision can be broken down into three tiers:
Tier
1: Initial Audit
'Current
Employment Practises Health Check' - a comprehensive audit
of current practises against employment law obligations and
good practise. Includes a review of current employment contracts.
Recommendations for actions and proposals for support are
also provided to the clients.
Tier
2: Implementing the Basics
Following
the 'health check' there are likely to be a number of basic
gaps identified and support can be provided at a number of
levels to address these gaps:
•
Drafting of tailored employment contracts, grievance and disciplinary
procedures
•
Employers Guide to the Basics - a comprehensive folder providing
all basic employment processes including standard forms and
letters. All standard forms will be provided on disc to allow
clients to input logos. To ensure continued legal compliance,
Clients will be invited to purchase updates to the guide as
and when appropriate.
•
Employee Handbook - providing a tailored set of employment
policies as well as setting out the employee's obligations
to the business
•
Employee Administration forms – covering all employment
processes
Tier
3: Ongoing Support
Again
there are a number of options for ongoing support:
1.
A fixed monthly fee providing unlimited telephone and e-mail
support
2. A fixed monthly fee which provides total support for all
aspects of people management….essentially your ‘personnel
department at a distance’.
3.
'Pay as you go service' where queries are charged on an hourly
rate. For more specific projects, for example a recruitment
activity or a redundancy situation a fixed fee can be given
to undertake the full project.
4. A combination of the above
ADDITIONAL AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Investors
In People (IIP)
Should
your business wish to work towards the IIP standard, People
Business can offer accredited advice. We also carry out assessment
work on behalf of the Welsh Quality Centre for IIP UK.
Recruitment
Recruiting
the right employee is one of the most important decisions
a business will make. Manage the process badly and you may
end up with a damaged reputation as an employer and/or the
wrong employee! We pride ourselves on being able to manage
be-spoke recruitment assignments. We can provide total support
from defining the need, designing appropriate recruitment
tools, managing all logistical and administrative matters,
through to offering employment and designing the employment
contract.
Training
and Development
Having
access to a wide network of quality approved associates, People
Business is also able to offer a wide range of be-spoke and
‘off the shelf’ management development training
packages, including the design and delivery of Assessment
Centres. We can deliver one-off interventions or project manage
a company wide development programme.
It
is critical that anyone with responsibility for managing employees
understands how to implement employment processes in relation
to employment law obligations. People Business offers tailored
seminars to introduce managers/supervisors to employment law
and allow them to understand their main obligations.
Health
& Safety
Adherence
to health and safety legislation is another critical area
for employers. People Business offers support in this area
and associated costs can be provided on request
IT
Solutions
People
Business is able to advise on the implementation of IT solutions
to streamline people management processes and integrate into
existing systems.
